Flowers of Doom is the new project from collaborators Matthew "Cornbread" Compton and Josiah Steinbrick. Compton is also a composer at Black Iris Music and FOD's debut album Planning Accidental Genius is a showcase of the duo's love for vintage foreign film scores, avant garde composition, rare groove, and ambient soundscapes. The album was made sporadically out of collected moments of inspiration at their home studio, working off improvisational recording sessions, always mindful of high concept. It's the soundtrack to a film yet to be made, requiring the listener to create their own cinematic experience. This release represents the worldwide debut of the single and the album will also include Tim Presley (Darker My Love) and Simon Lord (Simian) on vocals.
