Fool's Gold is a native Los Angelino musical group who fuses together their own western pop aesthetic with pan-African musical influences, Hebrew/English lyrics and free-form dance moves to create something with which to enliven your everyday soul. On any given night the band can be seen with upwards of 8-10 people on stage shaking and crunching their way through an exploration of world music via California sunshine. The project began as a late night vision between Lewis Pesacov, guitarist/songwriter of indie band Foreign Born and composer at Black Iris Music and local LA singer/songwriter Luke Top while the two were in attendance at a ceremonious summer wedding in Weed, CA.After developing their live sound for over a year, FG are currently wrapping up their first official studio recordings with this 7" single in limited release as of mid-summer '08.

12/12/08 - Flowers of Doom members Matthew Compton and Josiah Steinbrick, Adam "The Jewish James Dean" Green and Har Mar Superstar have presented us with the darker, groovier and ??? side of the Holidays. Anyone who has ever asked Santa for an Exploding Plastic Winter Wonderland, pondered what Scott Walker might have done at the Philips Christmas party after too much mulled wine, cried in their egg nog because Kraftwerk and Neu! never showed their festive side or just wanted to let loose on the dance floor with a mistletoe top hat and a champagne glass filled with figgy pudding may get their Christmas wish.
