Black Iris Music developed its own record label as a natural extension of the established music collective. The Black Iris label introduced itself to the world when it released the first Fool’s Gold 7” in 2008 and since have put out 7”s from a variety of artists including Flowers of Doom, Bad Veins and Foreign Born. With its hands deep within the independent music scene, the Black Iris Label is quickly establishing itself as one of the most pioneering labels today. Practicing a unique collaborative process, its core musicians, who make up the heart of the collective, actively work alongside each artist in studio; underscoring their mission to create music as an artistic unit.
