Best Coast’s New Track Inspired by a Photograph

White Iris alumnus Best Coast recently teamed up with Johnny Marr to write an original track for a new project by Ray-Ban called “Raw Sounds.” In the project, Marr commissioned up-and-coming artists to write music inspired by a variety of muses that Marr himself provided (items included a poem, a quote, and a map of Manhattan, among others). Bethany (of Best Coast) was inspired by a photograph of a man and woman, which lead to the to the unrequited love anthem, “In Your Sleep.” The song was recorded in our own Black Iris LA Studio and produced by White Iris’ Lewis Pesacov.
